What's it about?

I feel as if makeup is such a controversial topic now of days. People now of days call others fake or ugly with makeup on, but really all it is a confidence booster. I don't wear makeup to impress anyone, or to be "fake" but to enhance my own beautiful features and to give myself a little extra boost. People shouldn't be ashamed for being artistic and for how they do their makeup, we all began there. I remembered I used to get teased on how my makeup used to look, but I didn't care, I thought I looked cute. To the people who used to tease my for my eyeliner, I hope yours got better as well.

My good friend Jazmine brought up the topic of contouring and highlighting the chest area. Again, people are still criticized for doing this. I feel like this shouldn't be shunned. I honestly is a cheaper alternative to an augmentation and you can give yourself some great collarbones and a snatched nose.

The makeup world is always changing, and stepping up it's game. Everyday there are new products coming out and new collaborations being announced. So many people have become so successful for expressing their art, many millionaires and young business men and women following their dreams of becoming amazing MUA's.

Don't ever let someone drag you down for wearing makeup or even not wearing makeup. Express yourself in fashion, style, and anyway you can. Always remember that you are you and no one else can change who YOU are. Be yourself and love yourself.

Trust the process.

Dog vs Beauty Blender

So I just had to put this into my blog. So I live in a big house that my family decided to fill with dogs, cat and even turtles. But this story is specifically about one dog in particular.

His name is Oliver, he is a one year old min pin and he is the cutest little guy ever. But he is an actual thief! LOL so this is going to be about the time he stole my Beauty Blender.

For those of you who don't know what a beauty blender is, it is a makeup blending sponge which has virtually replaced the traditional makeup brush. So here we go... It was over Christmas break and I was about to head out to Disneyland and I wanted to go full beat. I had just got done with a full cut-crease shadow look, brows, and lashes. I was about to put on my foundation/concealer/bronzer etc. but I couldn't find my beauty blender anywhere. And of course I was already running late, and I couldn't find this little pink sponge ANYWHERE!

I searched high and low for this thing, I went through my suitcase, all of my make up bags and even the trash. I started to walk back to my room and I see little pink bits all over the floor and I had to accept the fact that either my German Shepherd or my little min pin stole and murdered it.

I never thought I would see $20 go down the drain that easily. But now Oliver cuddles with it all the time.

Lesson is, don't leave your blenders laying around. But if your dog cuddles with it, I guess it's alright.

Sporty Makeup

College softball season is right around the corner, and I just wanted to give some tips to keep yourself looking fresh on and off the field. First I use an eyebrow pomade so my eyebrows don't move. Waterproof mascara is a must! Nothing on your face will move if you use a wax based product. I really don't like wearing any face makeup besides a bit of highlighter because I always make sure that I have sunscreen on to protect my super pale skin. LOL. Here's a pic of me and my roommate from our first collegiate game of softball!

Serious tip.... Make sure you always wear sunscreen, your skin is so sensitive, no matter what kind or color. Protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays, keep yourself wrinkle free for as long as you can.

Started from the bottom, now we're here.

OMG!!!! We've all been there, we've all done that. Don't be discouraged about how your makeup first turns out, obviously I over plucked my brows and threw mascara literally everywhere, but practice really does make perfect. Makeup is about having your own style and your own thing. How I learned and got inspired was by YouTube. I started out watching Michelle Phan and my makeup knowledge has expanded o Jaclyn Hill and even MannyMua! Lesson here is don't be discourage, keep blending and everything gets better.

Save your money, blend your foundation, and pop that highlight. Believe in what you can do, don't worry about what others think. Your makeup is your style, let yourself free.

My favorite look

Lately I haven't been pushing my make up towards the heavy side. I've been sticking to much more simple make up. As a college student I have 9 AM classes 5 days a week followed by work outs, softball practice, and long nights studying I try to let my skin take a break.

I lately having just being wearing spot treatment concealer, mascara, eyebrows (STAPLE!!!) and a little bit of highlighter. It's quick and simple, it gets right to the point and I love it! here is a picture of me in the make up I've been wearing lately at the Los Angeles County Museum of Arts.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer: Light
Ecobrow: Liz
Anastasia Brow gel: Clear
Benefit Roller Lash: Black
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector: Champagne Pop
Kylie Lip Kit: Candy K

HIgh key, these are great!

So I just received my first pair of Quay Australia Sunglasses from the Quay x Desi Perkins collaboration! I know that they've been out forever, but they're absolutely worth every penny! I got the blue and silver "High Keys" and definitely worth the $60. I love wearing these glasses with a silver toned highlighter on my nose and cheek bones! I definitely recommend any Becca Cosmetics highlighter, I love the color "Pearl" I recommend both of these products highly!

tip for the becca highlighter: Be VERY careful when you use this, as in gentle. This product is very buttery and will crack and break on you. If it does, use some rubbing alcohol to fix all your problems with it.
